Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SellerShield ("we", "us", "our"), operated by TechSeventeen Solutions, collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the SellerShield desktop application, our authentication server, our landing site (mpro.techseventeen.com), and any subscription or payment services we offer.

By creating an account or using SellerShield, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you subscribe to SellerShield, we collect:

• Name and email address — used as your account identifier and for support communication.
• Phone number / WhatsApp number — used for onboarding and support, where provided.
• Password — stored as a one-way bcrypt hash on our authentication server. We never store or have access to your plain-text password.

Subscription & Payment Information

SellerShield operates on a paid subscription model. We collect and retain:

• Your selected plan (1 / 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months) and any add-ons (e.g. Cloud Add-on).
• Billing cycle dates — subscription start, renewal, and expiry dates.
• Payment confirmation records — such as transaction/reference IDs, amount paid, and payment date.

We currently arrange payments manually (UPI / bank transfer) while our online payment gateway integration is finalised. Once an online payment gateway is integrated, card and bank details will be entered directly with that gateway's PCI-DSS compliant systems — SellerShield will not store your card number, CVV, or full bank account details on our own servers at any time. We will only retain transaction references and status returned by the gateway.

Locally Stored App Data

The desktop application stores the following data only on your own computer, inside the ~/MeeshoScan/ folder:

• Scan history and AWB records.
• Claim records and evidence files (barcode photos, product images, reverse waybills, unpacking videos).
• Customer order history used for repeat-buyer detection.
• Packet scan batches and packing progress.
• App settings and your authentication token (used to keep you signed in).

This data is not uploaded to our servers unless you opt in to the Cloud Add-on (once available), in which case the Cloud Add-on's specific data-handling terms will apply and will be communicated to you before activation.

Connection & Usage Data

Our authentication server logs basic connection metadata (IP address, login timestamps, app version) for security and debugging purposes. These logs are retained only as long as necessary and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your identity and maintain your login session.
• To activate, track, and renew your subscription plan.
• To send renewal reminders, payment confirmations, and service updates.
• To provide customer support via WhatsApp or email.
• To detect and prevent unauthorised access or account sharing beyond your configured tab/device limit.

We do not use your information for advertising, third-party profiling, or any purpose beyond operating and supporting the SellerShield service.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt.
• Sessions are authenticated using signed JWT tokens with a 30-day expiry.
• Application data (scans, claims, customer history) is stored locally on your device, not on our servers, unless the Cloud Add-on is active.
• Our authentication server is hosted on infrastructure we control and secure (firewall, HTTPS, restricted access).

4. Payment Gateway (Upcoming)

We are in the process of integrating a third-party, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway to process subscription payments online. When this is live:

• All card/UPI/net-banking details will be collected and processed directly by the payment gateway, not by SellerShield.
• We will receive only a payment confirmation, transaction ID, and status from the gateway.
• This Privacy Policy will be updated with the name of the gateway provider and a link to their privacy policy once integration is complete.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited information with:

• Our payment gateway provider, solely to process your subscription payment (once integrated).
• Law enforcement or regulators, if required by applicable law.

SellerShield does not include third-party advertising SDKs or tracking scripts in the desktop app.

6. Data Retention

Account and subscription/billing records are retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax and accounting obligations. Locally stored app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

7. Your Rights

• Access — request a copy of the account and billing data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate account details.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account; locally stored app data can be removed at any time directly from your ~/MeeshoScan/ folder.
• Portability — your local data is stored in plain, portable file formats (JSON).

8. Cookies

The landing site does not use tracking cookies. The desktop app maintains your login session using localStorage, not cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

SellerShield is intended for adults (18+) operating Meesho seller businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — particularly once our payment gateway integration goes live. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of SellerShield after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
